1. What are three words you would use to describe your 2011?
Joy - Fun - Fulfillment. Hubby retired in 2011 and I waited 30 years for that to happen.
2. Do you like shrimp? What's your favorite way to have it prepared?
3. Is your house de-Christmased? If so when did you tackle that job? If not, when will the decorations come down?
Yes, everything came down the day after New Years and I'm glad to have my house back. We have a small house and although I love to see the decorations, it makes our house even smaller.
4. Do you like to watch scary movies?
5. ice skating~sledding~skiing~snowboarding~of the four listed which wintertime activity do you most enjoy?
Drinking hot cocoa or tea in front of a fire place with my feet up watching a movie or looking out the window watching others ice skate, sled, ski and snowboard. I'm not a winter girl at all.
6. Did you have a childhood hideout? Describe it.
I grew up across the street from a ball park. Behind the park was woods and in the woods was my hideout. It wasn't a building or anything, it was the entire woods. I loved being out there. Sitting on a fallen log, telling stories or playing there. It was wonderful!
7. What's a place or space that motivates you?
If your talking about getting motivated to clean, then it's a dirty room and company coming. If your talking about getting motivated to pray, then it's a quiet chair or sitting on our bed. If your talking about getting motivated to craft, then it's a cold day when I don't have to go anyplace.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
It really got cold here! And I mean like 3 degrees (including wind chill). Well, it has hit us here in the North East! The poor little dog cannot bring himself to staying outside to get everything out of him so we are having a bit of an issue with house training. It's going to be along few weeks if this keeps up.
Now it's your turn, join in and answer the questions.

Hot cocoa by the fire is one of the nicest things about winter. We are frigid here too but I just saw we might hit 50 on Saturday. Crazy! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteYou and I had similar answers to #5. ;-)
ReplyDeletePoor August ... I hope he gets used to the cold - at least enough that he can do his business outside. Poor little guy. And Becke is probably the opposite ... impervious to the cold. ;-)
It was really cold here yesterday but today it's back up to almost 40!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed reading your answers. Poor little August and the cold weather. I love how you always seem to be happy, you have a great attitude for life!
ReplyDeleteGeesh, and I was complaining about our cold in a previous post. I guess we still had a heat wave. lol. I really would like to hibernate during the winter...lol Enjoyed your answers!
ReplyDeleteuntil next time... nel
I'm with ya on the cold. December brought us a record-breaking 22" of snow and freezing temps. I don't mind before Christmas, but I'd just assume it all go away the day after!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your husband's retirement!
Happy 2012!
