This was Thursday Morning. Trees changing colors, the air was crisp and it was raining. Typical Fall In New England.
Thursday night, this started. It started late about 6pm. And it kept coming down. It stayed on the grass, it stayed on the cars, it stayed on the deck. It didn't stay on the road because it hadn't frozen yet.
The snow kept pilling up.
And pilling up - that's the well cover back there and the banister with snow on it.
Becke, the wonder dog saw this and decided she would wait till the morning to go potty.
The trees still have leaves on them!! Now the trees have leaves with snow on them.
There is another 4 inches coming Saturday Night!
Welcome to winter!! Have a nice weekend everyone.
Hubs said he heard we may get up to 6 inches here tomorrow. NOOOOO! I'm not ready for the leaves to go : (
ReplyDeleteThe first snow is always kinda pretty I guess. Trying to find the bright side to October snowfalls here : ) Have a great weekend!
This is way too soon. It's just like the stores skipping over Thanksgiving, going right from Halloween to Christmas.
ReplyDeleteIt does look pretty!! But I do agree, way too early!! Be safe out there!

Oh my! I can't believe ya'll already have snow! It's cooler here but up in the 70's during the day or at least high 60's. I do love snow and would love to have some for Christmas but we're lucky possibly 2 or 3 snows a year! Stay snug and cozy, Lynn Marie!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Hugs and Blessings,
Tammy
I know I'm probably the only one out here in Blogville who wishes that we'd get some snow. Just a couple of inches ... enough to say that we got a snowfall. Our Lab doesn't like snow very much either, although our Golden loved the snow (we decided that because she loved the snow so much, we'll scatter her ashes in the back yard after our first significant snow ... so she'll be out in the snow that she loved so much).
