HUBBY COPIED MY QUESTIONS FOR ME HODGEPODGE

Thank you Joyce for easy questions this week, I need easy these days.

1. When it comes to good manners, what two top your list of most important?
Please and Thank You.  Simple, straight forward, and always useful.

2. Let's open a proverbial can of worms...Common Core.  Are you familiar with the term (talking education reform in the USA)?  If so, care to share your thoughts? In your opinion, what is one of the biggest issues schools (in your home country) face today?
Yes I know what it is and I don't like it. They teach to the test, ask 2nd graders to challenge their parents decision about what to have and what to do. They teach math in a way that no one can understand and no one child learns the same as others so this Common Core doesn't allow for that at all.

3. Name a celebrity whose fashion sense you admire and share why.
None, I dress for my life, my job, my pocket book - not someone else'.

4. How are you affected by the changing seasons?
My asthma is worst in the fall and especially in the winter. I can breath just fine in the summer heat and even those "muggy" days, but in the cold, my lungs just freeze and stop working. It's bloody painful!!

5. Scariest book you've ever read?
I don't read scary books, I don't like to be scared.

6. What time of day are you most hungry? What's your go-to snack?
3pm. I just get home from work and I'm getting ready to feed the dogs so I'm hungry too. My go-to-snack is fruit.

7. Do you lean more towards being too needy or too independent? Which do you find harder to deal with in others?
At the moment I am very needy.  I have a lot that I start, but don't finish so it ends up on Hubby's plate to finish. He really did copy the questions for me this week, last week as well if I remember correctly.  I find it hard to deal with it in others so I really hate that I am one of those people right now.

8.  Insert your own random thought here.
Hubby took care of getting the double windows down so we will be warmer now that the heat is on. It's suppose to be really cold at night the next few days so I'm glad about that!  The leaves need to be raked or blown away but we just can't get to it right now. I'm trying my first agility trial with August on November 7th and have a back up handler in case my body just can't do it.  I started Yoga this week per the advice of my Oncologist to build up strength and flexibility as this is something that I will need in the future. Talk about Random!!! Just like my brain!!

So now it' your turn. How would you answer the questions?

  3. Sometimes we really are needy though, and I think we have to let people help us in those circumstances. You are walking thru something hard on every level. It's okay to be needy! I think you'll like yoga. I went for a while and really loved the way I felt, but the class time was just not working for me. Hope it goes well for you!

  4. I look forward to your posts each week, and I know there are times when it must be a chore to blog! (It is for me!)
It sounds like we both agree about Common Core. Hope it will fall by the wayside sooner than later!
Best wishes with your yoga classes. Let us know how it goes.

  5. I agree, I dress for comfort and what I can afford. There's things I can't afford that I think are neat, or things I couldn't pull off, so I don't see the point of using someone else's style.

  6. I didn't know about Common Core. But from what you have said and also some other Hodgepodger's comments, I don't think I like it. Glad my youngest is in her last year of high school. She has never actually attend public school.
Christian School through eighth grade and has done online school for high school. However, the online school is still run by public school and I do not care for some of the curriculum they use either.

  7. I hope you and August will be able to do the agility trial. I know how much you both would love it!

It seems the school system here is such a mess and all the "reforms" only make it worse. I think this teaching for tests idea is one of the worst things anyone has ever come up with.

Hope your allergies aren't too bad on top of everything else you are dealing with.

  8. Good answers. I have to mention, though, that you may feel "needy" but not to my definition of that and the question. You are strong and amazing. I enjoyed your answers, which are very much like my own!

  9. I don't read scary books, either. You have a right to be needy right now, but I am confident this will pass soon. Just by reading your posts, I know you are a very strong person.
