10 DAYS?? Say it Ain't So!

Yup, there are only 10 days until the official start of Fall. Are you ready?  When you decorate for Fall, if you decorate for Fall, do you decorate just one room, one floor or just one object (as my daughter-in-law does by putting apple placemats out on the table and declaires fall decorating done). In her defense, she lives in San Diego. I decorate just about the whole house and a little outside as well.

The kitchen and dining area is done as well, with a fall table setting and decoreted microwave cabinet.

This is the top of the microwave cart
Bathrooms are places that are necessary to a home so why not make them look nice as well. Pull out those fall scented candles and place them in there for leasurey tubbies. Add a fall border to your shower curtin for a little extra color (no need to go buy a fall shower curtin after all)  Add a Welcome sign to show everyone you are glad they stopped by. Top shelves with some fall color and place small pumpkins in there as well.
Do you add a few touches to the outside as well?  How about a few pumpkins - they dont even have to be real - they just need to give that FALL feeling.

With only 10 days to go I really need to pull down the fall clothes and get them ready.  Weve had a few days in the high 60's and low 70's here and when I get up in the morning, it's in the low 50's!!! Yup, it's feeling like fall up here in the upper right hand corner of the USA.

  1. I can understand that you are ready to decorate for autumn living up in the northeast. But, here in South Carolina, it's still summer feeling. And, that's ok with me. I love thec warmth. I usually don't decorate until October because then it feels a bit more fall-ish. And, I have never been big on strictly Halloween decorations. I put out things to say "autumn" and that can carry me through Thanksgiving.

  2. Kinda feels like fall here in Ohio too. We're sleeping with the windows open and the air conditioning off. Getting into the 50's at night, the 40's the other night. Loving it!!

  3. Your fall decorations are lovely. I'm looking forward to that first day of fall, too. I'll pull out the pumpkins toward the end of September.

The last two mornings have had just a hint of fall in the morning air, but it still gets up in the low 90's by afternoon!

  4. I love the pics, your decorations are lovely. Fall is my favorite time of year, love the cool temperatures, the fall foliage, etc. We've had some cool temps here too and I love having the windows open, just perfect. :)

  5. In side I decorate the kitchen and living room. Sometimes I will put a few things outside. It just depends on the year, my mood and such. All of your decorations looks great!

    Enjoy your Tuesday!

  6. I don't do a lot of fall decorating, but what I do is not done until closer to October. I put mums and pumpkins out front and change my wreath and I also redecorate my kitchen island to make it more autumn-y. I am still in summer mode at the moment. : )
