The Wednesday Hodgepodge is ready

Once again, Joyce From This Side of The Pond has created a wonder Hodgepodge of questions to help us bloggers know each other better. Thank you Joyce.
To play, you copy the questions and post them on your blog with answers, then visit other blogs to see their answers and leave a comment. No blog, no problem, put your answers here! Joyce gives 7 questions and each blogger who plays comes up with question #8. This weeks questions:

1. What is the most amazing weather you've ever seen?
Hubby was in the Air Force and we did some traveling so I've seen the sand storms in NM which were petty awesome! But living through an Ice Storm a few back that left us without power for better part of a week and freezing cold - that would have to be at the top of the list.

2. What is a sound or noise you love?
This one sounds odd but I love the sound of hubby breathing! I feel so safe when I hear it and I can easily fall asleep in no time. Told you it was odd.

3. Do you like seafood? What's your favorite seafood dish?
I like cod or salmon, baked. I don't get it often but when I do, I can do a happy dance.

4. What part of your day requires the most patience?
Lines, I really hate to be standing in lines. I never know where to look and end up playing a game on either the phone or iPod Touch.

5. What's your favorite shade of blue?
OK what if I don't like blue? Sorry, I may have blue eyes but I don't like the color at all. My favorite color is Purple. Sorry.

6. Do people underestimate you?
I think they do. I feel that I give off an attitude of a snob but I'm really painfully shy and would love to blend into the wall. Public speaking makes my legs shake and so my talents don't shine like so many others that I know.

7. When was the last time you had butterflies in your stomach?
A few months ago, Becke the wonder dog and I did a Freestyle Demo (dog dancing) in front a lot of people and that made me not only have butterflies but sick too. Did you read #6?

8. So here is my question: Have you started your Christmas Shopping yet or are you going to end up doing it closer to the day?
I'm almost done! I shop a lot on line- I hate standing in line remember, and I really don't want to shop once the snow gets here. So, I start early and finish by Thanksgiving. Then it's time to wrap and mail. My cards are all ready to mail - how about you.

OK so here are the questions and my answers, now it's your turn.

  1. Wow-reading your answer to #8 just gave me butterflies in my stomach : )

I think there are a lot of people who feel like you do in #6...my mom says the same thing about herself.

You don't have to like blue : )

  2. I enjoyed reading your answers! This is so much fun.

I can *SO* relate to your answer to #6! I'm so painfully shy that I'm sure that I come across as a snob! ;-)

    Blessings!

  3. My shopping is almost done also. I don't like shopping when it is crowded. I don't have my card ready to mail, but I do have them. I usually mail them out the day after Thanksgiving.

    Have a great day!

  4. I didn't share because when I wrote what I have every day ... it sounded even MORE boring than simply reporting that I have the same thing every day. ha!

For breakfast, I have steel cut oats with a sliced banana and a teaspoon of brown sugar, mixed together.

I have a ham sandwich and a yogurt for lunch.

  5. Well, that makes two of us. Gifts are bought (and I do 75% of my shopping online too) and cards are ready. Gives me the "warm fuzzies" knowing that is behind me.

So enjoyed stopping by. What fun this is.........

  6. LynnMarie,

I used regular craft paint. The kind in the little bottles that is fairly inexpensive. I used a light color so that the wording would show through. Have fun making these!

  7. My cards that go to North America are almost ready. Tomorrow I want to mail them. But I have lots of shopping to do. I hate lines too! Very impatient there.
Thanks for visiting my blog. Come again! I´m having a giveaway this week yet.

  8. Yeah, I understand about the being shy part...and it's true, people think I'm "stuck up"--so not true!

I, too, and nearly finished with my Christmas shopping! I hate lines and crowds!!!

  9. I think that tag that Joyce had made for this meme is so cute!! I liked reading your answers; I'm with you about #6, I like to blend into the crowd and wall myself :)

I'm also with you about lines, though I've looked at them at times with God helping me to be patient, so sometimes they are good to wait in (unless I'm in a hurry LOL)

I sort of started my Christmas shopping, redeemed some points with something I do for a gift card for someone, but I only have a few people to buy for and could easily wrap it up (pun intended) in a few short hours when I get around to it :)

    enjoy Wednesday!

  10. Hi LynnMarie! I liked your answer to #2! I feel secure with my husband next to me and listen to him breathe. I don't think it is odd at all, especially when you have been married for a long time!
And I like your blog title, though mine would have to be trifocals!! Argh! LOL

  11. I used to always do my cards during the Thanksgiving weekend, but I have gotten out of that habit.

I love playing games on my phone while I'm waiting!

  13. That performance with your dog sounds like fun but I am sure I would have had butterflies too. I love shopping online too, it's the best. Sweet answer to #2.
