TRADITION!

No I am not going to break out in song from Fiddler on the Roof - but don't you just love that movie? Every time I think about traditions, I think of this movie.

I talking about this kind of tradition
I had already eaten my cherry when I remembered to take the photo!

After our West coasters left to return to the west coast, we headed over to the Air Port Dinner to drown our sadness in their famous Hot Fudge Sunday. We have done this before so it has become a tradition for us. I had a double scoop of coffee ice cream while Hubby had a double scoop of vanilla.  Even though these are really good, the memories of our grand sons petting the dogs and running around the bowling alley, and playing with their cousins were far better.

Traditions are good, they help us remember and keep memories alive.  This was a good (high carb!) tradition to keep.

Do you have any traditions for when company leaves?

  1. Now, that's my kind of dessert! No, no real traditions round here. The only thing I do is to clean house almost immediately after they leave.

  2. That is a very nice tradition. I can't think of tradition we do when company leaves but I am sure I sleep better. Of course if it were grandchildren visiting I am sure I would be up all night missing them!
