Welcome to the first post of Life through Bifocals.  Why am I writing? I got new glasses today. I have been wearing glasses for a very long time. I started wearing them in high school back in the 70's! I went through a time when I traded them in for contacts and oh how I loved my contacts. Over time however, hay fever and such made me take out the contacts and put the glasses back on. One day I gave up and just kept the glasses on. But today, I got bifocals!  As I get use to them, my vision is not very clear and I have to move my head to adjust to them.  It occured to me that life is like that.  We don't always see our life clearly. We have to move around a lot so that we can figure out what we were meant to do.  So this blog is a place for me to learn to see clearly both in my new bifocals and in my life as a older  mature Christian woman.  Grad a cup of coffee and your bifocals and lets see what this life is all about.

  1. I wish you all the best with your new BLOG. I am lucky to have a front row seat to your life. I am so blessed to have you as my wife, my friend and soulmate. I love you bifocal lady!

  2. I look forward to reading your take on what life brings you! And I'm in trouble b/c I don't even have bifocals yet and I already have to move my head around to see different things...let's really hope Ben and Noah got Gerry's eyes and not mine :-)
    Got my coffee...

  3. I am so impressed that you have a blog and look forward to further reading. I love my bifocals and have from the first day I wore them, well except for skiing downhill or hiking down a mountain. But not constantly putting on or taking off has been a relief. At some point vanity takes a back seat to being able to see and read clearly.
I hope you adjust quickly and come to appreciate Ben's wonderful invention.

  4. Glad to see your new blog and will be following it. I am very blessed to have you as a sister in Christ and in our small group so that we can get together and share most weekends. Bifocals are great once you get used to them.

  5. Don't sweat the bifocals love.. I've been in mine since my early 30s.. Guess I've had old eyes for like ever lolol.. Have fun with your blog.

  6. Lynn, what took me so long to figure out you have a new blog?? I am so glad you left your link! I am on the verge of bifocals, myself. Lately my head hurts all the time, and I am pretty sure it is my eyes. I am just putting off the head bobble.
I read all the way through your blog and enjoyed every bit of it. I hope you will keep it up and continue to share what you are seeing through those bifocal eyes. :)

  7. Hi Lynn Marie,
Marty fixed my posting problem and now I can comment on your wonderful blog. I just love it and look forward to reading it every day. I've got you on my Favorites, so you're now just one easy click away.

Reading "Life Through Bifocals" (so sweet, so funny, so YOU) and now being able to write back to you makes me feel like I'm having a 'virtual conversation' with you every day.

    Love you, miss you -

Thank you for stopping by today and if you left me a comment, thank you twice!
